[NEWS] 140822 B1A4, for children with cancer, participate in Shoot for Love
The group B1A4 participated in the fundraiser for children with cancer, ‘Shoot for Love.’
On the 15th, B1A4 participated in the ‘Shoot for Love’ fundraiser at Yeouido Park.
On that day B1A4 made time for ‘Shoot for Love’, although they were in the middle of rehearsing for a music program and had a busy schedule, and participated happily from start to finish.
In particular, one of B1A4’s members, Gongchan, in order to perform a penalty kick reminiscent of the memorable animation, ‘Soccer King Shootdol’ used the members’ combined strength, adding to the fun.
B1A4’s Baro stated, ” While hoping that through the Shoot for Love fundraiser we would be able to help children with cancer even just a little bit, there are still many children with cancer in places where they need help, and we hope that more people will participate and give interest in this cause.”
The Shoot for Love campaign is the Korean version of the ‘Ice Bucket Challenge. Participators kick a penalty kick, and if it goes in 5000 won goes toward paying for the treatment of children with cancer. It was started at the 2014 World Cup by the pair Ahn Junghwan and Kim Sungjoo and now many different celebrities are participating in a relay-like way for the cause.
